Use the drawing and corresponding spacing charts below to determine the proper horizontal shore spacing for pouring concrete bridge decks.
- A - Safe Spacing for Horizontal Shores (Center to Center).
- B - Safe Spacing for 2x4 Joists (Center to Center) & continuous over 3 or more supports. * Based on used of No. 2 Grade Southern Pine or Douglas Fir-Larch (S4S Lumber) Fb 1625. ** 3/4" Plywood Decking is continuous over 3 or more supports. Face Grain Parallel to Spacing (Strong Direction).
