The Ellis Manufacturing Co. Beam Holder is designed to accept a 6x6 post from the bottom (with 6x6 Ellis Screw Jack)  to support a 4x4 or 4x6 cross beam.   Specification Pictured below is a Beam Holder 6x6 "beam saddle", it will accept a 6x6 post from the bottom and a 4x4 or 4x6 across the top.  If a beam holder 4x4 is desired the Ellis 4x4 Purlin Splicer is a comparable alternative.

Ellis Manufacturing Co. Joist Holders are the best way to secure 4x4 or 6x6 nominal posts to 2x joists.  Ellis Joist Holders come accommodate single 2x joists, double 2x joists, or triple 2x joists. Stabilize joists.

If you have been using conventional heads, you can eliminate – per average head – driving about 25 nails, making 6 saw cuts, and ruining 6 or 7 lineal feet of 1x4 or 1x6. The Ellis Jack makes leveling of shores and purlins simple. The Jack grips the wood of the lower shore member and the upper shore member is raised about one inch per stroke through the lifting pressure of the cam at the anchored end of the Jack handle.

Ellis Manufacturing Co. 4x4 Red Head is designed to accept 4x4 Ellis Shore in bottom and 4x4 or 4x6 purlin spliced together at the top. The design of the Ellis Red Head ensures speedy teardown. Simply lift the bottom of the Ellis shore to pry the nails in the purlin out, as indicated below.
